As we commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, join us for a panel discussion about dealing with breast cancer. The panelists will include:

– Adrienne J. Weiss, aka A.J. Funstuff, author of Boob in a Box, who will talk about the book and also about Reconstruction Decision Making after the Mammo Squish.

– Rebecca Hilty, BSN, RN, Nurse Navigator at Forbes Breast Care Center at the Allegheny Health Network’s new Cancer Institute in Monroeville. She will talk about this new facility and how she and the staff help newly diagnosed preople with breast cancer work through the decision making to make the most of their treatment plan.

– Lynne Harper and Kristen Garrison-Smihal, Certified Mastectomy Fitters at K & J’s Complete Woman, a full Specialty Durable Medical Equipment provider. Services include mastectomy products, wigs, hair pieces and head coverings, and the full spectrum of compression garments at both their Monroeville and McMurray locations. They will talk about choices available, and how insurance will cover most items.
