About the Band:
The East Winds Symphonic Band, comprised of about 75 active musicians, has been performing since 1981 at a variety of venues throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. nI June of 2019, they extended their influence with a 3-concert tour through Ireland. These serious volunteer musicians, primarily from the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, are from all walks of life and professions, and share a common interest in instrumental music. Under the direction of Susan Sands, this award-winning community concert band is passionate about sharing their music with communities around the Pittsburgh region and beyond. EWSB performs a wide array of music, including marches, music from stage and film, symphonic works and other music written for concert band. Join us for a symphonic experience like no other!
