If you have an interest in history, and want to help in preserving the story of our community, the Monroeville Historical Society invites you to consider becoming a member.
Members contribute to the society’s work in any number of ways depending on their interests and the time they can volunteer to various preservation efforts. For example, all members are urged to attend the monthly meetings — held at the Monroeville Public Library at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month (Except August and December).
In addition, for those who wish to take a more active role, volunteers are always needed to conduct tours of the historic houses during the summer, to help with church weddings, and special events during the year. Other chores for which volunteers are needed include: baking, gardening, and minor repair work.
